Usually 14⅝–17⅜ in.Usually 37–44 cm.How the pajama is drafted
The top is a straight silhouette sloper without darts, the same one used for the T-shirt and sweatshirt, with a pajama ease of 4¾ in12 cm at the bust. The sleeve is drafted from this top's armhole: the sleeve cap length equals the armhole plus ¼ in0.5 cm of ease. The pants are an elastic-waist pants sloper, the shorts are pajama shorts: hip ease 5½ in14 cm, the rise lowered by ¾ in2 cm, and a casing for elastic at the top.
We checked the draft against proven commercial patterns of the same style: the key measurements match.
The pattern maker checks each part automatically: bust and shoulder seams of the top, sleeve cap and armhole, circumferences and seams of the pants. The results are in the “Draft check” section.
How to print and tape
Download the PDF on Letter or A4 sheets and print at 100% scale, without “fit to page”. The first sheet has the test square: measure it with a ruler. Tape the sheets with an overlap along the strips ⅜ in1 cm; sheet numbers and the assembly diagram are on the first page. For a copy shop or plotter, choose “One-sheet PDF”.
What you get
Front and back of the top, sleeve, front and back of the pants or shorts, and the casing — full size, with seam and hem allowances.
FAQ
What fabric should I use?
For the top, use knit fabric: jersey, interlock, viscose, French terry for a warm pajama. The top's neckline is like a T-shirt's, finished with knit binding — a non-stretch fabric won't go over the head. The pants and shorts can be made from knit or from cotton, flannel, sateen.
How loose will the pajama be?
The top is wider than the bust by 4¾ in12 cm, like the ready-made pajamas we checked the pattern maker against. The pants are loose: hip ease 5½ in14 cm, the rise deeper by ¾ in2 cm, and the leg opening is half the hip circumference. So the pajama won't restrict you in your sleep.
How much elastic do I need?
About the waist circumference minus 10% — the pattern maker writes the length under the drawing. Elastic width ¾–1⅝ in2–4 cm, and the casing is drafted for it.
Can I sew just the top or just the pants?
Yes: print only the pieces you need. Separate pages are available for the T-shirt sloper, elastic-waist pants, and pajama shorts.
