We checked the draft against proven commercial patterns for the same style: the key measurements match.
The pattern maker checks the draft itself: bust, matching side seams, strap length. You'll find the results in the "Draft check" section.
How to print and tape
Download the PDF on Letter or A4 sheets and print at 100% scale, without "fit to page". The first sheet has the test square: measure it with a ruler. Tape the sheets together with an overlap along the strips ⅜ in1 cm; sheet numbers and the assembly diagram are on the first page. For a copy shop or plotter, choose "One-sheet PDF".
What you get
Front, back and strap at full size, with seam allowances on the side seams and hem allowance, and strap markings. The bias binding for the top edge is cut as a strip — the length is below the drawing.
FAQ
How long are the straps?
The pattern maker calculates them from your measurements: from the top of the front over the shoulder to the top of the back plus ¾ in2 cm for attaching. The strap is cut as a strip 1⅛ in3 cm, folded into a tube — finished width ⅜ in1 cm. It's best to confirm the length at a fitting while the straps are pinned.
How do I finish the neckline and armholes?
With binding: for knit fabric, a strip 1⅜ in3.5 cm wide cut across the grain, 15% shorter than the edge (lengths are below the drawing); for woven fabric, bias binding 1⅝ in4 cm wide equal to the edge length. There's no seam allowance on the neckline, armholes or top edge of the top — the binding replaces it.
Can I sew a tank top from this pattern?
Yes: switch "What are you sewing" to "Tank top" or "Wrestler top" — instead of straps you'll get shoulder straps, a neckline and armholes.
How do I make a cropped top?
Set the length shorter than your back waist length — you'll get a crop top. The shortest length is 3⅞ in10 cm below the armhole.
